Technical and Managerial Support for Strengthening the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system and for Conducting an Impact Evaluation of the One WASH National Program (OWNP)

The project supported the One WaSH National Programme (OWNP), the world's largest sector-wide approach to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), to strengthen accountability in Ethiopia's WaSH sector. The assignment focused on fully operationalising the WaSH monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system across federal, regional, and woreda levels to enable evidence-based decision-making.

Strengthening the WaSH M&E System

Provided technical and managerial support to the National WaSH Coordination Office (NWCO) to fully operationalise the WaSH monitoring and evaluation system.

Enhancing Data Systems

Strengthened systems to generate reliable, timely, and strategic information across all levels of administration.

Supporting Evidence-Based Decision-Making

Enabled the generation of reliable, timely, and strategic information to facilitate evidence-based decision-making at all levels of administration.
