Evaluating Programme Performance
Conducted a theory-based, systems-oriented evaluation across all five work packages using Contribution Analysis and Realist Context-Mechanism-Outcome (CMO) methodologies.
The project delivers the end-of-project evaluation of the DeSIRA LSC-IS initiative to assess implementation progress, institutionalisation, sustainability, and the scaling potential of Agricultural Knowledge and Information Systems (AKIS) hubs across Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda. The evaluation examines the initiative's contribution to strengthening agricultural knowledge systems, institutional coordination, data governance, and evidence-based decision-making to inform future investments in resilient and inclusive agricultural systems.
Assessing Institutional Systems
Reviewed institutional practices, governance arrangements, coordination mechanisms, and data-sharing processes through mixed-methods research, including desk reviews, stakeholder interviews, and comparative country case studies.
Strengthening Learning & Future Planning
Facilitated multi-stakeholder validation and learning workshops to develop actionable recommendations for the sustainability, scaling, and long-term effectiveness of AKIS hubs while informing future strategic decision-making.
